The Vincennes University Aviation Technology Center and Indy Aero have partnered to give you the opportunity to earn college credit and an aviation degree while learning to fly! You can now earn your degree in aviation through Vincennes University while completing all of your flight training at Indy Aero. This means you now have the ability to access Federal Financial aid. Becoming a Professional Pilot is one of the most gratifying things you will ever accomplish. Whether for personal pleasure or to start you on your way to a career in aviation, IT'S NEVER BEEN EASIER!
This 5 credit hour course covers navigation, meteorology, radio communications, and Federal Air Regulations. This course will prepare you for successful completion of the Federal Aviation Agency written examination.
This 3 credit hour course will prepare students for the Private Pilot Certificate by teaching pre-flight inspection, usage of check lists, the starting procedures, taxiing, parking, takeoffs, landing, turns, climbs, glides, straight and level flight, stalls, flight at minimum controllable airspeeds, cross-country flying, short and soft field takeoffs and landings, night flying, and radio navigation. This course consists of 45 hours of flight time including 30 hours of dual instruction and 15 hours of solo flight time. Please note that additional flight time may be needed and can be purchased at a reduced rate from Indy Aero.
Because Vincennes University is a state funded institution our tuition rates along with costs of books and lab fees are substantially less expensive than our competition. Please note that tools and books are not included in these figures. Prices subject to change!
